Window of Art is a project that brings digital art into your home. All you need is the Internet and a “Window of Art.” Window of Art means a screen:

  1. small (smartphone),
  2. medium (laptop, tablet),
  3. large (monitor, TV) or
  4. huge, like a good projector.

About gallery
Our album gallery is built to convey the highest quality images in the simplest way.

For your convenience, the gallery is divided into three categories: HORIZONTAL, VERTICAL and SQUARE. All mini-albums are free of charge. The pictures are of sufficient resolution for a preliminary assessment. However, only the MAXI albums offer the full experience and allow you to admire the work. To access the MAXI albums, all you have to do is purchase a club membership in the shop. Is it worth becoming a club member to view the MAXI albums? It’s worth finding out for yourself, which is why we’re giving you two albums for free to see if it’s worth it.

Why are MAXI vertical albums rotated 90 degrees?

Because to fill the entire screen, If left in a vertical position then the size of MAXI would hardly differ from MINI. On lapros and tablets this is not a problem. The problem

If an image appeals to you then you can buy it. We offer three forms:

  1. Approximately 3 million px – the resolution is exactly the same as in MAXI albums. The long side is 2000px. Such a file allows you to print up to A4, or print on various small gadgets like mugs.
  2. approx. 25 million px. medium resolution. Long side 6000px. A small 70cm poster can be printed from such a file.
  3. About 90 million px. High resolution. Long side 12,000 px. Great for a large poster or canvas print. You can print an image up to 120 cm.
  4. 400 million px. Huge resolution. File for special large-format prints.

On Phones

Modern smartphones are great for most tasks in “Windows of Art”: browsing content, filling out forms, or making payments. However, when it comes to viewing the artworks, the experience varies depending on the operating system:

  • Android Phones
    Both MINI and MAXI albums display beautifully on Android phones. Why? Because Android allows full-screen mode, which transforms the viewing experience. Try toggling FULL SCREEN on and off – the difference is dramatic!

  • Apple Phones (iPhone)
    Here, we encounter a limitation. Apple’s restrictive policies prevent users from enabling FULL SCREEN in browsers, which impacts the viewing experience:

    • MINI Albums: These look decent, but could be better.
    • MAXI Albums: Viewing these on an iPhone is nearly impossible.
      While we recommend viewing MAXI albums on larger screens, there are moments when you might want to sneak a peek while commuting or share an album with friends. Unfortunately, iPhones limit this possibility.

On Laptops

Laptops are an excellent choice for accessing “Windows of Art.”

  • Perfect for browsing content, filling out forms, and making payments.
  • Viewing artworks, both MINI and MAXI, is highly convenient, especially on larger screens.
  • Additionally, laptops can be rotated 90 degrees, making them a great choice for viewing MAXI albums in vertical mode.

While larger screens are ideal for MAXI albums, laptops strike a balance between portability and display quality. MINI albums are particularly well-suited to laptop screens.

On Desktop Computers

Similar to laptops, desktop computers are great for browsing content, filling out forms, and making payments. However, there are some limitations:

  • Fixed monitors: If your monitor cannot rotate to a vertical position, viewing MAXI albums in portrait orientation can be challenging.
  • Alternatives: While tilting your head or lying beside your computer might sound fun, it’s not exactly practical. 😊

On Tablets

Tablets are an intriguing option for “Windows of Art,” especially if you disable the automatic screen rotation feature.

  • MINI Albums: The larger screen compared to a phone makes viewing enjoyable.
  • MAXI Albums: By disabling auto-rotate and using the tablet in vertical mode, you can comfortably enjoy the artworks.

In summary, tablets are essentially “large phones” that offer greater comfort due to their screen size.

On TVs

Televisions are an outstanding device for enjoying “Windows of Art,” especially the MAXI albums. To make the most of your experience:

  • Connect a mouse: Even the simplest mouse (preferably wireless) greatly enhances navigation compared to a remote. You’ll notice the difference immediately.
  • Indulge in MAXI: Viewing MAXI albums on a large screen is an unparalleled experience. Setting your TV to vertical mode amplifies this, allowing the image to fill the entire screen beautifully.
  • Limitations: While browsing content is relatively comfortable, filling out forms on a TV might not be as convenient.

Your TV can become the perfect “Window of Art” – primarily as a MAXI album presenter.

On Projectors

Projectors are a fascinating choice, especially for “temporary” presentations or special occasions, but they come with some caveats:

  • Best in darkness: Projectors deliver their best performance in dark rooms, where colors and details truly shine, even on budget models.
  • Fan noise: The constant operation of the fans makes projectors less suitable for long viewing sessions.
  • No built-in vertical rotation: To view MAXI albums in portrait orientation, you must physically rotate the projector by 90 degrees. While feasible, it requires additional setup.

Projectors are ideal for showcasing “Windows of Art” to friends or at events but may not be the best choice for regular viewing.

Summary

Each device has its strengths and limitations. Choose based on your needs:

  • Phones or tablets: Great for mobility and quick browsing.

Why do some images require a vertical screen orientation?

Our images are technically divided into HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL.

    • Horizontal images (landscape) fit perfectly on the screen in the standard 16:9 setting. A 16:9 TV will display a vertical image that matches the height of the screen, but its width will be severely limited.For example, if the image has an aspect ratio of 2:3, it will only take up about 1/3 of the screen area.
    • Vertical images (portrait) lose their full grandeur when displayed on a horizontal screen. They are automatically scaled to the width of the screen, causing them to take up less height space, which can make them appear small. When rotated, the screen fits perfectly into the vertical aspect ratio.
      The display area of the vertical image increases by about 2.5 times compared to a horizontal screen.
Conclusion:

By rotating the TV, you “stretch” the image to fit the entire screen. This gives you a 2,5 times larger, more detailed and impressive experience.

Invest in a Chromecast, Xiaomi or Amazon Stick.
